Project Summary

The Butterfield/Arroyo-Kenrick Gravity Sewer Improvements Project will install 0.3 mi of diversion and replacement gravity sewer in San Anselmo between Arroyo Avenue and Kenrick Drive (on Butterfield Road) and replace 0.3 mi of gravity sewer in Sleepy Hollow on lower Fawn Drive. The Butterfield section is the last capacity project required in the Cease and Desist Order from the Regional Water Quality Control Board, and the Fawn Drive section provides needed capacity and pipe replacement to prevent sanitary sewer overflows and reduce maintenance requirements.

Also included is 1,600 feet of new sewer line in the Butterfield Road right of way. Approximately 1,050 feet of sewer line in front yard easements will be abandoned. Work on Fawn Drive replaces approximately 770 feet of sewer lines from Butterfield Road to #271 Fawn Drive.

All RVSD projects and work activities being conducted adhere to the District’s COVID-19 Exposure Control Plan to prepare for and, mitigate against the risk of COVID-19 exposure to the District’s office staff and field workers.

These upgrades to old or outdated system infrastructure will enhance local wastewater system reliability and efficiency.
