Ross Valley Sanitary District (RVSD) was established in 1899 has been dedicated to protecting public health and preserving the environment for over a century. 

The RVSD service area includes Fairfax, San Anselmo, Ross, Larkspur, Bon Air, Sleepy Hollow, Kentfield, Kent Woodlands, Oak Manor and Greenbrae.

New Headquarters

The RVSD Board of Directors announced entering into contract to purchase a new facility at a public meeting on February 13, 2019. 

The new facility will consolidate District operations from four (4) locations to a single facility at 1111 Andersen Dr., San Rafael, CA  94901.

The RVSD infrastructure that we operate and maintain in your neighborhood includes a portion of the 200 miles of sewer pipelines and 19 pump stations which collect, pump and transport approximately 4 million gallons of wastewater per day to the Central Marin Sanitation Agency (CMSA) for treatment.
